TITLE: Night Porter
REPORTING TO: Duty Manager, Front House Manager
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB: · The supervision & security of the hotel between 11pm and 7:00am, to ensure delivery of the highest standards of product and service, a passionate approach to exceeding our customers expectations and as a champion of our vision and values, promote a professional and positive image to all of our guests and contribute to the hotel’s targets
ABSOLUTE KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:OTHER KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES · A safe, secure and hygienic environment for customers, staff and visitors to be maintained.· To carry out Reception duties arising out with the normal working hours of reception staff.· All equipment to be operated in line with trained instructions· Equipment and premises to be maintained in a clean, working condition· Personal protective equipment to be worn / used in line with company guidelines· Opportunities to be taken to promote products to our customers at every opportunity· Prompt response to be given to the service needs of, and feelings expressed by customers.· Customer satisfaction to be check during customer’s visit to department· Accurate payments to be dealt with in accordance with the Hotel’s standards and the company’s cash handling procedures· All visitors to be warmly received and their needs anticipated in an appropriate manner.· To ensure conference and meeting rooms are consistently set to the company standard and that all essential work is completed by 7am· To carry out hotel night security & car park patrols at the agreed times.· To ensure that only residents are on the premises once all functions have finished.· Ensure the public areas of the hotel are clean and tidy at all times during the shift.· To ensure all guest requests are communicated to the relevant personnel.· Report any maintenance defects to Management immediately.· Positive new and working relationships to be established and maintained with colleagues throughout the hotel, ensuring they become familiar with the work place· Colleagues to be supported in the performance of their work· Company Handbook to be abided by, and employees to be aware of any changes made· Commitment to be displayed to training through participation, and sign off of training records, and application of learning in the workplace· The highest standards of personal health and hygiene to be maintained at all times.· Full compliance and commitment to Absolute and Core standards· Any other reasonable request made by a manager of the company.
