| | | Job Description | We're looking for a customer-focused Maintenance Assistant to join our team working across mainly a Grade II listed hotel in Chester and on occasion supplying support to our Cluster Maintenance Manager at our sister hotel 7 miles away.
Reporting directly to the Cluster Maintenance Manager, the overall appearance and safety of the hotel will rest securely on your shoulders. You'll be responsible for maintaining the structure, fabric and services of the premises in accordance with the high Macdonald Hotel standards of quality and safety and ensuring that the hotel is statutory compliant.
The ideal candidate will have a plumbing or other 'trade' qualification. Extensive knowledge of health and safety and fire regulations are vital, coupled with the ability to confidently deal with any maintenance challenge which could arise.
However, prevention is better than a cure, so your regular inspections and organised/scheduled maintenance planning will pre-empt many potential faults.
You'll be able to effectively control energy costs to meet hotel budgets and ensure excellent all-round presentation of the property and grounds. If you're ready for a challenge and are looking for an exciting opportunity then come and join our team.
