| | | Job Description | As a company committed to improving the quality of our food offering, the Macdonald Craxton Wood Hotel & Spa is keen to hear from individuals who can assist us with the delivery of excellence in food service at any time of day.
Responsible, in the absence of the Restaurant Manager, for the smooth running of breakfast/lunch and/or dinner in the hotel, you'll ensure that all Macdonald core standards are met.
You will be a capable and committed individual, who will manage the morning F&B Team through motivation, leading by example, having a hands-on approach and a consistent drive to ensure that high standards are always exceeded.
With impeccable standards and an eye for detail you will inspire your team to deliver prompt, friendly and efficient service at all times - which means you'll need to be a confident leader and communicator whose standards are as high as ours.
The role will include rota (staff) management, control of food and beverage stocks, and ensuring that cost control measures are in place. It will necessitate the individual working week days/week-ends (5 days out of 7) to ensure our high standard of breakfast service at peak times.
We are focused on ensuring that our team receive excellent Training & Development, therefore you will be a motivated team player who will ensure that all individuals with whom you work, are trained and receive regular coaching and appraising.
Set in a rural location the 74 bed Macdonald Craxton Wood Hotel offers, a Guest Lounge, Garden Room Restaurant and Bar with views over our beautiful grounds and woodlands.
For clients requiring meetings and conferences facilities there is a complex comprising of a main room capable of holding up to 400 delegates with other additional function rooms available. The hotel also provides a superb leisure club and spa facility including an 18m pool with modern gym and beauty facilities. There is plenty for those wanting relaxation or, in contrast, for those more inclined to the bustle of city life, Chester is a mere 10-15 minutes away.
